Melody Pickell LAc, MSTOM

Melody is a licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist with a Master of Science degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine. She is a specialist in the gentle art of Japanese or Meridian style Acupuncture.

Her background starts with a more western healing approach. She spent 15 years as a Registered Respiratory Therapist working in Intensive care and trauma units. Prior to that she was a researcher at NASA studying the effects of stress on the human body. Frustration with the western medical focus on symptoms instead of cause led her to the search for a more balanced approach. That search ended at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, where she graduated after an intensive 4year program with a year as an intern.

Melody’s passion is learning and teaching. Her ultimate goal is to empower her patients to take an active role in rejuvenating their health. With that goal in mind she has published numerous articles and lectured widely on health related subjects.
